Clair and Mike Allan were absolutely mesmerised by Marlborough. In their eyes, it had the best weather, the most flavoursome wines and had an endless supply of fresh produce. Having purchased 9 hectares of land in 1990, they started making wine at Huia Vineyards in 1996.

Their home vineyard has been organically and bio-dynamically farmed since 2011 and they currently produce Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Viognier. 
 
Whether it’s a white or red, Huia wines are incredibly food friendly. With hints of honeysuckle and citrus, the Sauvignon Blanc conveys the quintessential characteristics of a Marlborough wine. This Riesling has wonderful honeysuckle and vibrant citrus notes, while the Pinot Noir pairs well with meats thanks to its rich plums and savoury notes.
