ABOUT
Quintessa is uniquely situated in the centre of Napa Valley, where geological surroundings, climate, terroir and people combine. There are 26 different blocks of vines and up to 85 picking areas spread over 280 acres. With such diversity, Quintessa does not use pesticides or chemicals. Rather, the winery focuses on the geology of the land in order to understand the soil because good soil leads to healthy and balanced vines, which resist pests while improving the quality of the wines.
TASTING NOTES
The 2018 Illumination features honeysuckle, jasmine, and white rose aromas, with white peach, Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, and kiwi notes. Flavours of juicy mandarin, guava, and wet stones are enhanced in the mouth by a beautiful tension and fine acidity. Intense yet well balanced, this Sauvignon Musque, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend is exceptional. Luxurious creamy and mineral notes linger through the long and elegant finish.
